The best time to visit Mozambique is between May and November, when the rainfall and temperatures are at their lowest. You may travel during the early part of the warmer, rainy season from November to January, just be prepared for high temperatures, particularly in January. If possible, avoid the height of the rainy season about February to the beginning of April, because many of the roads become treacherous and flooding is common in the south and centre. Around the major holidays such as Easter, Christmas and New Year's in December and January, Mozambique's southern coastal resorts become swarming with the vacationing neighbors and booking your accommodations during this time should be done well in advance.
