Travel Seasons

Latvia

In Latvia, summers are short but sweet, July and August considered the high season, is the warmest and busiest months, never the less it can also be the wettest and be subject to numerous thunderstorm. December through March experiences snow buried streets, ice-glazed roadways and roofs decorated with icicles. Avoid soggy March when the snowmelts, resulting in more slush then you know what to do with.

From early November until the April thaw, temperatures fight to rise above 0°C (32°F) as the sun makes a momentary appearance during the day and falls below zero in the evening. June through August daytime highs are usually around 20°C to 22°C (68-72°F) and are exceptionally pleasant. July and August are the warmest months, though prone to normal but persistent showers.
