Oman has a wide variety of weather conditions. Muscat is brutally hot and humid from the middle of March until October and nicely warm from October to March. June’s steadfast humidity and average daily 31-38°C (88-100°F) temperatures can create dangerous conditions. In the Dhofar area in the south of the country, the weather is moderate with temperatures of 30°C (90°F) all year round. The Salalah area is affected by the khareef, a drizzling rain, from June to September, which changes the local mountains green.
